Introduction to Wild Swimming with Sauna

Does getting into the cold water leave you wondering how you will warm up again?

Join me for a small group, max 6, Introduction to Wild Swimming at Loch of the Lowes next to St Mary’s Loch with a 1 hour Wild Dook Sauna after.

10.30am-12.30, Sunday 25th May, £38

This introduction will cover what you need to know to wild swim safely. We'll discuss what is happening to the body when immersing in cold water, how to make good assessments before, during and after a swim to keep you safe, what kit is available and how to get yourself into the water before supporting each other in a fun group dook. Wetsuits and swimsuits both welcome.

After our dook, we'll warm up in the sauna, with time to reflect and a chat about how to rewarm without a sauna, have a re-dook if you fancy, and enjoy a hot drink and homemade ‘shivery bites’ outdoors after if the weather allows.

Getting into the water for the first time is an exciting and intense experience and I would recommend that if this is your first ever dook you plan to do a few more supported sessions with a qualified coach before dooking independently.

Booking is through Wild Dook Sauna, click button below to follow a link direct to booking page.
