Small group Introduction to Wild Swimming

Getting into our cold Scottish waters for the first time can be daunting and full of questions. Will I be OK? How long do I stay in for? What if I get too cold?

Join me, a qualified swim coach, for a small group session, max 6 people, to introduce you safely and confidently to the wonder of cold water swimming.

You will learn about what happens to your body in cold water and why it brings health benefits, getting in safely, how long to stay in for, what kit is available, warming up and how to assess whether it is safe to swim.

Afterwards we’ll warm up with a hot drink made on the Kelly Kettle and some delicious homemade ‘shivery bites’.

Outdoor picnic setup with a metal canteen, teapot, two decorated mugs, and a cinnamon roll placed on gravel.
